Hey all, I just want to know what sort of sound deadening will i need to do a small section of my boot!

I saw the dynamat site but i dont want the boot kit as i dont want to do my hole boot as for one the silver look i does not tickle my fancy hehealso its uneeded a hole kit just got a small section! It is the boot lid but the part that goes down on the 90* angle to where the lock meckanism is!

I just need to sound deaden that panel of the boot behind the plate! ITs not the number plate vibrating its the actual steel, u could call it! So i need to make it a lil heavier, me and my mate push it in hard and there is no rattle's sounds nice but soon as we let goo..vhmmm vhmmm bbvhmmm..

Please help!

try putting expanding foam behind it. you can get it at any hardware store. Sets rock hard though.

...yeah but doesn't foam and the likes sometimes set and then come off after maybe a few years or even months? Some dodgy stuff does I think I read. Then again if it's just one section it might be ok (unlike something I read where some poor bloke did his whole car and a year later the stuff was just falling off and makin a mess - and he'd spent top $ too)

I might be wrong...
Still you can buy smaller sections of the Dynamat for smaller areas try that... if you ever even read this again hha it's probably done by now
