Use your muscles you wimp
LoL
Put one side in the vice and turn the other bit with ur hands, if not use "vice grips" or similiar tool on both sides..

no way a brand new drill should not have to be forced.
Same thing happened to me. Is it a cheap **** drill or what?
Take the thing back!

It isnt cheap drills that will do it!
All it takes is to have the thing in reverse n hold the chuk n it goes to far and releases all the way, may not feel like it got stuk but it doesnt take much to get them stuck all the way out!
We have $600+ chassis keyless chuk drills at work that do it!
Hope you get a new drill or they fix it!

never ever had a top end drill have any probs if i did the warranty would cover it.
Anyway i have GMC and they are a great brand even for the price. I have had a prob with one drill and that is it ever. But thier higher priced 18volt cordless is magic.
Anyway just take it back to where u got it - my olds bought me a GMC chuckless hammer drill from BigW. Not bad for a chrisy gift. It jammed like yours and i didnt even have the recipt. the little 16yo just said go get another one and didnt even look at the stuffed one. Lucky coz they would have seen the 2 spade bits that a accidently chewed up!

use a pair of multigrips on it. One on each half of the chuck and twist it. Works everytime my chucks get stuck

he may get it with multi grips but y bother with damageing the chuck grips when its new and he can get a new one?
After all he has already tried with those rubber grippy things which are mad for that stuff.
these days we dont have to put up with that crap with new stuff.

hehe thanx guys yea i took it back and the 'drill guy' was like having a go with hands and trying to torque it out which he said usually works, then he got some other guyy t have a go then he smiles at the other guuy and goes hang on a min, then he gets this big mofo dude with big ass like builder hands to do it , he full had it between his knees and was screaming quietly haha, then im like man can i just get another one, im sure it wouldnt have been good for it to be stuck all the way out in the first place, hes like ahhh yea allright!
