He is prob laughing at the fact that you plan on using Boss products to compete. you are more likely to start a fire in your car and smoke your subs than hit decent numbers with Boss Crap.

20 pairs of $10 6"x9"s would be competitive in SS5+ these days

atleast he's having a go.. and you'll be in SS5+ BTW. Dont mod the cabin infront of the B pillar and you're fine.

To Charger, mark_sudakov and to a point X 2 tha z.
How tough/smart do you guys feel, having a crack at a new guy who asked a genuine question, he didn't ask for smart ass comments.
Unless you have something positive and useful to add save the crap for somewhere else.
As Blanketman said you'll end up in Superstreet 5+, thats at best.

How was i having a crack at him? i was just simply saying that if he used boss amps he is going to end up costing himself alot of money in the long run buy not being a cheap ass now.
If my statement has been taken the wrong way i apologise.

X 2 tha z.........I know you weren't having a go, but think like a newbie for a minute and you'll see why I said "to a point".
He doesn't know about Boss and its fantastic reputation, so for a post like that to follow a post like Chargers' its easy to understand how it could be misconstrued(sp?)
Ok, I just read his other posts, not a flash start to his CAA career, (so I get what Mark was saying) but that doesn't make it ok.
Instead of putting the guy down and adding fuel to the fire, either post constructively to HELP or dont post at all.

man this guys classic
all i have to say to that is go to hell mate
in my other post i said i will prob steer away from 5 12s and gor for 3 cadence 15s.the guy at jb reckons they go hard, and they look pretty bling.
is it against the rules to cut out the back seat???????
lets say i go and buy 20 jbl 6x9s. how would i amp them???buy a f***load of monos, strap them and wire each one up?? or get a f***load of say 6 channel, bridge them so i have 3 on each amp???

3 x 15"s isnt practical, Your new to comps .. why not start in a class suited to people new to the sport.
Street C, for example allows 2 x 15"s. 2 x 15"s should provide you with more than enough bass to take your head off.
and 3 x 15"s in the boot of a 'lude..? Good luck with that.

Xmax dbl WHATS WITH ALL THE SWEARING?
Mate if you think the guy at JB knows his stuff then go buy it from there.
You dont have room for 5 12's or bazillion 15's in that boot, IT JUST DOESNT HAVE THE SPACE.
So dont worry about someone trying to sell you quanitity why not go visit a proper car audio store AS SUGGESTED PRIOR and then come back a little wiser.
Instead you choose to ignore those comments and still carry on like a lunatic, why is it that you keep repeating yourself about the guy at JB, are you trying to excuse your purchase by us telling you he is right?
Make up your own mind and read some info.

OK, since your other post was closed, surprise, surprise, i will tell u this here. OK could u tell us how much money r u willing to spend, really. Coz u say u want to spend $5000, but your talking about boss, cadence. I dont think u will reach $5000 with that.
Wat shiny_car said about mentioning all the good brands, thats not bullcrap, those brands actually do exist.
But if u do only want to spend $2000, then try getting pioneer 306c subs, get as much as u want coz u dont listen. But 3 would be plenty. I have one, and its enough for me at the moment. And go to jaycar electronics and get the precision response mono block. There u go. Of course then get wiring, probably 4 guage will be enough.
And if u want, splits that jaycar sell r also very good.
Hopefully u have heard of jaycar. If u think i am giving u bullcrap info, then go to jaycar and listen to the splits.

No problem, I put three 15s in the lastest model Prelude a few years back.

listen to DD-phil or someone on here or go head hey
buy the 3x 15's and wack em in ur car boot
rock up to a sound off as ya would be in same class as myself and some other decent scoring cars and you will end up shattered wishing ya just started off small trust me
my advise is if you are going to do a car for DB drags atleast check out what other people are doing in each class "Scores wise" first
and see what they use dont just go on what people say goes hard. as its alot to do with how its installed and the car its installed into.
so think of these things first then go do ya car up for big bass.
but go street C if ya want 15'' subs
cause if you go 3 15's in ya boot ya automatically wanna hit high 140's and above to be seriously competitive now in SM3-4

Phil, would you call your fibreglass install an SPL install? Large ported box?
I seriously doubt it. The boot of a lude barely has enough room for a SPL sized box for one 15", battery and amps.
How loud was the Prelude you did Phil? Did it do a 150?

There's an R33 Skyline in Qld with
FIVE 9515s and two Z1s in the boot.
You'd be surprised what you can do with determination and huge amounts of cash. MMMMMMMM CASH.
