im looking at spending $1200 - $1500.
It will be for filming surfing, skating etc...
what should i look for??

zoom is pretty hopeless with digital, so there is no real point worrying about what zoom your camera can do, unfortunately for the sports u need to film, ur usually unable to get close up without zooming.

basicaly just look for the highest CCD rez, and watch out for wanky features (usually hopeless and useless).

i bought a JVC DVL820 i think it was for $1800 last year and its been ****en great. dunno if they are old stock or reduced now or what but id reccomend that camera for anything.
