hmm, maybe, but seeing apple already had the, emac, imac and ibook released prior to that, i might take a stab in the dark and say the ipod was a name next in the sequence

Just did some quick research the iRiver company was introduced and started developing digital music devices in 1999, the Ipod was introduced in 2001, so which company is copying the other now, seems Apple where the ones doing the imitation product to me. So before you come out with the Ipod is king everyone copied it, it might pay to do the research first and check before you accuse other companies of copying them and there name.
blah, establishment and release dates two different things, who cares,..... "seems Apple where the ones doing the imitation product to me" sure.. only with design, integration, practicallity and success, sound like a copy to me.
