nearly all class A amps switch to AB. The better the amplifier, the later they switch. Celestra amplifiers (made in Italy) switch at 18W.

May I ask why you are so interested in this brand? Curiosity?

I believe STEG is the parent company or one of the companies that belongs to the company that produces AudioSystem amps, I'm sure Ive seen something about it on the AudioSystem website. Maybe check that there is a few links for it floating around the Forum.

^^ rings a bell for me too

Steg is made by GT Trading, an Italian company that also manufactures Audiosystem amps and speakers as well as a range of home audio products. They are also the Italian distributors for Dynaudio, so obviously they must be top blokes.

The Audiosystem amps have been very successfull for us. Watts for dollars they better anything not out of Asia and most that are. For example the F2-500 produces 1250watts RMS into 2 ohms bridged and sells for $799. SQ wise they are actually very good and have been strongly praised by customers who have had them installed. We have sold through our initial shipment and will have more arriving in mid April.
