I am a St George Illawarra Dragons fan, and was just wondering what people's thoughts were on our new signings? Cos i was under the impression that we struggled to resign our players, then we go out and sign:
Willie Leyshon
Lincoln Withers (very underrated player!)
Nathan Long
Nick Youngquest
Edwin Asotasi
John Olzard
Luke Roberts
Lachlan Russel
Nick Greenshield
Stacey Katu
Corey Payne
Sala Fa'logo
David Tangata-toa
And we also lost Amos Roberts to Penrith. I only heard this like a couple of days ago! I still think the Dragons can go all the way next year IF we can stay healthy. Check out our line-up:
1. Ben Hornby
2. Nathan Blacklock
3. Mark Gasnier
4. Matt Cooper
5. Ben Creagh / Nick Youngquest
6. Trent Barrett
7. Brett Firman
8. Luke Bailey
9. Mark Riddell
10. Jason Ryles
11. Nathan Long
12. Lance Thompson ©
13. Shaun Timmins
Bench options:
Lincoln Withers
Ashton Sims
Brent Kite
Henry Perenara
Dean Young
Reece Simmonds
Michael Howell
David Howell
Wes Naiqama
Willie Leyshon
... the list goes on and on
So watch out NRL. Cos 2004 is the year of the DRAGONS !

We were winning, Pity our little scam was discovered.......
Wasn't really a scam, the players deserved their increases in pay due to their performances.
If you were playing that well, im sure you'd expect a little more $$$$ in your pocket.
Like u at work.
U're always on here.

Yep the dragons didnt go too bad this year considering the starting 5/8th was injured all season and by the end of it only 5 out of 13 players were regular first grade players.... 2004 is definatly the year of the DRAGON

Yeah all i'm going to say is, amos Robert will play out his contract at Penrith in first division. Penrith will have a largly unchanged team, only losses out of first grade are Scotty Satltler to the Tigers which is disappointing seeing as he has been so loyal to the club, and Colin Ward who was 18th man for every final game.
Tigers Have bought up big and will be strong next year with Bret Hogson from Parra, Scotty Sattler Penriff, Arron Canning i think from Manly, and more.
Souths well, they suck
They got Mad Dog Macdougal, and Terry Hill the alcho....alll hasbins
Go the panthers and SuperVT is a panthers supportes as well
The dogs suck, especially Willie Mason, Mr i his it up 8 times in 80 minutes then run at centers.

yeah, i think Penrith are only going to get better and better. their forward pack is young, yet have shown they can match it with the big boys.
i also saw on the news this morning that poofter anderson's been banned from sharkies training. anyone know what the deal is with that?

Yeah, Ashton Sims has come on in leaps and bounds with the injuries and origin duties of Luke Bailey and Jason Ryles. He got picked in the Junior Kangaroos team to play PNG, but had to withdraw just the other day due to a knee injury.
On the topic of next year, I think Nathan Merritt will be a try scoring machine, even though he's playing with the Scum under the Chris Anderson . Every time i saw him play at Souths this year, he seemed to play really well.
