I have sibilance in my newly installed jaycar splits. I have had a bit of a search and most people suggest changing the crossover point, but I am stuck with the jaycar crossovers. Pertinant specs:
Mids are installed in the stock CH Lancer location in the doors.
Tweeters are installed in the convergence of the front windscreen pillar, the dash, and the door. I have faced them approximately into the middle of the car, but they need adjusting. They are double sided taped and then self tapping screwed into the plastic cover there. I will be deadening this and using nuts and bolts eventually.
Doors are not sound deadened yet. But they will be as soon as the deadening arrives.
Driven straight off a Clarion DXZ556MP using stock wiring. Will be amped with a jaycar 4x50w amp and decent speaker wire as soon as I get time.

Thanks.

While I think about it, tweeters are on 0dB. No Boost, no attenuation.

Try cutting around 3500hz or so.
556 should have some form of eq to do this hopefully?

Yeah I have a parametric EQ. Will give it a go.

Thanks.
