hey i am just chasing a quick hand with some boxes.

i am going to be starting on my boot soon.

i have 2 MTX RT1204
http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwo...ata_RT12-04.pdf

i am trying to sort out what size box i need. i have tried a few calculators but i cant get them right

i know these are not spl subs. but this is all i have got so i want to get the best out of them.

they have a slot port design but those dimensions wont fit in the car.

so i am just chasing a voloume and port size (round port). or are the dimensions going to matter.

thanks in advance

Basically use MTXs recommended net volume of 2cu.ft per woofer.

So 4 cubes, I'd say go 4.5cubes total internal volume to allow for woofers and port/s.

Probably use a single 6" round port with flared ends, Will only need to be like 4" long to tune to 45hz. (get a piece of 6" about 6" long then flare the ends using a heat gun and metal bowl)

What way to fire the subs and port will be a matter of testing.

How much power u got/what amp?

i will have the mtx t3401

which is 400rms at 2 ohm. monoblock.

was planing to shoot in the cab as it is a sedan (r31).

so i should use a one box for the 2 or use 2 boxes one each sub.

which will be better. on joined box or a box split into 2.

with a big box only one port. what if i want 2, do i halve them in size or wat
