Hi guys!

Just wondering if you could recommend any active crossovers that you can select the crossover points for 2way and 3 way systems. I tried looking at audio control but correct me if i'm wrong they have preset crossover points, you can change them but you have to buy different modules. I want something that i can change on the fly or is a processor my only option?

Thanks!

Nah, Audiocontrol does what you want.

I currently have an older model, the DXS, its a stereo 3-way crossover, I have 3 output pairs, lowpass, bandpass and highpass. You can select different crossover frequencies with the press of a couple of buttons, depending on the output (high, low or band) you get a wide range of adjustments.

Does the current model 4XS and 6XS do the same? bc on their website it states "Module Programmable Crossover Frequency" and when i downloaded the user manual says the same thing, its module dependent for the xover freq.

Sorry, looks like I was wrong, although they do do what you want, they are module based, not programmable as such.

Try looking at the DQX or DQXS, as they both has digital frequency adjustment to change crossover settings.

Stylyn in Boronia has a great active crossover they are selling - one only, very flexible in its settings

An Alpine PXA-H701 would be nice thing to have if you got the BUCKS

was looking at the Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY.2 anyone know anything about them? one down side abt them is that you need a palm pda to control them so overall turn out abit costly. Pulse-R can you tell me the brand of the x-over you were referring to? thx

Adam said he wanted $400 for it - call him (in Boronia store) to get the model/brand (I can't remember)

keep an eye out for quality secondhand models. actives xovers are extremely reliable due to no moving parts and low current/power consumption.

*alpine DRE-A500
*audio control
*phoenix gold
*rockford fosgate

yes, the modules in some AC/RF xovers would probably be tedious (never used one).

i have the alpine one sitting around somewhere. great little unit with great flexibility and features: 2x HP (tweeter), 2x BP, LP (sub).

In regards to the audio control modules (4XS and 6XS) anyone know where to get them, and are the expensive? also does it come with blank modules as well or is that seperate?
