Can anyone see whats wrong with this pic??
Its pretty amazing and quite obvious, I have included links to 2 topics about this on termpro.
Bomb Building 101. Is this legal?
WTF is this all about....PIX
Very interesting to say the least.

I dont know about deep cycle batterys but i know that if you leave normal car batterys on the cement it can drain all the power or something an ruin them.

Have they drilled into the bottom battery?

count the amount of cables coming out of the battery.

That's one way to get the volts up...
Should there be a disclaimer on this somewhere???

mmmm, 16 volts.....
I guess it's cheaper (maybe) than buying a lot of 2volt cells.

mmm 12v on 2 volt cell that looks like fun LOL

It's probably been well researched and thought out...but damn, does it ever look gold.

Its no different to using a pair of Cyclon 2V cells to give you 4V (Optima consist of 6 cells, 2V each). They really should be breaking the connection between the cell pairs tho, IMO.

ummm, yeah, just thought of that too
for the price of a D34, you might as well get some 2v cells

And the purpose of this is to? c'mon help a noob out here

mosoto: Each Cell in a battery is 2V. With the Optima's, they have 6 individual cells (6x 2V = 12V. IE normal battery capacity). The purpose of doing this is that they can tap off 2 cells worth of voltage instead of all 6. This gives them, effectively, a 4V cell.
Now as you should know, batteries wired in Series increases voltage, in Parallel increases current.
Get a normal Optima (12V) and wire it in series with the modified Optima (4.4V) and you get a 16V system.
16V = more power than 12V. More power IN is more power OUT.

Ahh K thanx. So this added voltage is then good for the 2 second belch I gather
as apposed to long term power supply which surely would fry your components

Exactly. Plus it's kinda difficult to charge them.
