I have 3 questions

1.i am building a box for my Pioneer TS-W306C, the box i have designed has:
external dimensions
38cm high
38cm wide
26.5cm deep

Internal
34.8cm high
34.8 wide
23.3 deep

that works out to be 28.1 litres, is that right? ( i just want to check my maths as i dont wanna go makin a box that sounds poo) lol

2. on the web site it says the recomended box size is 25.4 litre sealed enclosure, but they also have a pre fab box that is especially made for the Pioneer TS-W306C and it is 28 litres so what size should i do, 28 or 25 litres? And do u think that the enclosure i have designed will work fine

3. Do boxes with an angled front baffle have any advantage (sound wise) over a normal cube box?

sorry about the long post guys but ur help would be great thanks

um the calculations are correct, 28.2, just off by 0.1, but anyways.
306c prefer ported boxes, with around 56Ls, ported to around 30hz.
If i was you i would got around 50Ls or so. But if u cant due to space i guess 28 would be sufficient, i don't think ull hear much difference with 3Ls in a sealed box.

And with the angled baffle, i don't think it would make much difference as well.

Actually, the recommended sealed box size is 35.4 litres. Mine is about 29-30 litres and it sounds fine, plenty of bass.

yes, box's with less paralell walls have less standing waves, which produces a louder, better sound.

In a typical enclosure of around 35L the first standing waves won't begin to form untill at least 200hz, stiffness and strength are far more important than worring about enclosure geometry (non-paralell walls) in sub boxes.

It just makes the box a bit harder to make, thats all. Its useful to angle the back wall if, for instance, the wall of your boot slopes that way, etc.

hmmm ok well space isnt an issue hear as the sub is in m bedroom lol so i think i might build a ported one, how do i tune it to 30hz
