alright .. this morning .. i connected up my laptop to the tv via svideo to get the desktop up .. all good :thumbsup:

but whenever i go to play a video .. where the video should be playing is just blank up on the tv although it is actually playing.

I think videos use directdraw - which only draws to the primary screen so you have to set the TV to be the primary adapter....

Yeah most laptops have a shortcut key combination to switch the primary display to be out da port in da back of da pooter...

So yeah try that

i had this problem a while back with DVDs. All i did was get the latest version of media player and everything worked fine.

what video card u got
and maybe try adjusting the resolution
try setting ur tv as primary monitor
does windows run on the tv?
