I am doing an install on a 2003 astra hatch 2 door.

Had a quick look yesterday and took the glove box out and there where wires everywhere. Can see the back of the headunit and the wires coming out of it. To save a bit of time could some one tell me what colours the front speaker wires are so i can hook up a LLC and also what colour the accesory wire is so i can hook up the amp.

Also if anyone knows how can i take the back seats out? there at two metal things there where there are usually tabs that you just pull to take seats out, so how do you get the astra rear seats out?

And which is the easiest grommet to go through because on the quick look i had i couldn't really see any that where really convinient.

Cheers guys

be careful with the 'big bundle of wires' quicker to pull the unit then the cage out and grab it from there.

there is a grommet behind the brake booster for entry into the car.

seats are a pop out.

short of buying the proper keys from a holden dealer how can i get the hu out?

had a go at the seats but they don't want to co operate, is a fair bit of force needed and which way to the pop out, like do i have to apply force down and towards the front seats?

thanks for the help so far audio express smile.gif

seats take a t30 (or 35) torx on the rear. drop that bolt out and lean foward.

releasing the radio- see a audio shop they will have the correct keys.

you need a t8 to get the security screws out then a t20 you get the cage screw out.

do a search on barina and my name and it will return a wiring diagram

I drew one up a a while back.

these aren't hex keys or the tamper proof ones are they? if they are i have them and just need to know where the cage screw is (assuming the security screws are the hex gubs that can be seen on the face of the unit).

cheers and thanks again for the help

hex key will get the front ones out.the one for the cage in in the back of it. you will see it once the radio is out. that is a t20 unless yu can get something else to fit.
