Full Version: Loudest Spl in a sealed enclosure?
Any of yous know a good score for a sealed enclosure ? wats the loudest sealed enclosure u have seen (spl) ????
My Swift did a dB Drag legal 155.5 back in 1999. It's the loudest ever sealed in Oz as far as I'm aware.

sealed 155.5db dats loud for sealed! was that 15'' subs or 12'' subs ??
140 on lab in a VN , 4 x 12s firing forward with 2000rms.
141 on lab in a kia with 4 15's and 1400 watts
There pritty good scores but for 4 subs i dunt know ! any more ??

the gccs vl wagon did a 160 at autosalon in 02 i think it was. sealed box. 24 12's in it though.
144.1 in Ba Falcon. 4x 12" sealed box in the boot. 1 amp providing 2500rms.
last year on TL the suzuki did 146.1 with 4 sealed sony 15'' 450wrms subs running off two sony 900wrms amps

Hey Inxs, are they Viper subs in the spare tire well firing up?. Have seen a BA Falcon with that setup somewhere and it looks sweet. Is that yours?.

that was on Term Lab with about 200wrms each sub. (I guess)
It was in my mates NXR he had some oldschool lanzar optidrive.
on another note
we bought 2 x 10" us audio subs in sealed prefab box. ($80 autobarn special)
put them in bassie's colt and pulled 141.1 in testing on term lab. That was about 700-800 wrms each sub though.

and we lost like 5 db over sealed.

They were loudest in Bassie's Mitsubishi Colt
But the i think 64hz might have had to do
with the size of the box and the fact we were giving them
a fair bit of power.
Considering they are probably only rated for 100 - 150 wrms.

64hz probibly has to do with the size of the car my 2 12inch subs peak at 65hz in my charade so yeh!
142db on termlab. 2 type s subs with a bit over 350wrms each in a single 40L box at jambo last year! in a 99 civic hatch with the subs rear loaded.
137.5 2x Clarion 15s, 350w rms each, Vt commodore
some pritty good numbers keep it up!
