First you need to know what class you are going to run in.
and also 100 AH bats arnt verry big.

100AH batteries are not big? Hell i run a 90 AH for two XXX amps strapped.

Yeah, 100AH is big... I think you might be confused with CCA. 100CCA is small. My Optima Yellow Top is only 55AH.

I dont know which class is what? its a fairly basic setup. trying to keep it simple. i know a lot about electronics but not much about BIG sound systems like this.... The amp is just getting fixed. Aparently it wasnt getting enough power from the 600cca oddesy. What class should i run in? is it street B i think?

You can only run a single battery in Street B, keep that in mind.

OKay, i've just gone to see gold coast car sound. they can get me a 270AH / 2000CCA battery. weighing in at 97 KG and is $699.... i think that price sounds good. i would much prefer to just get one battery to keep in Street B... opinions?

to be compliant in street class your battery must fit under the bonnet. I don't think your 97kg battery will fit

if you like batteries as much as me, just go SS. once you use a whole heap of batteries you never want to go back to street class...

The volume the battery displaces is the key for Street classes, see www.termpro.com for all the rules.

Battery can not be any bigger than 800sq" and must be of a 12v/14v variety.
Must also be mounted in the "general" factory area, read anywhere under the bonnet, even if it means moving (or removing

) bits and pieces.

You dont want to be competing with 3 batteries, you will be put into the SS classes if you do, just get one really good one.
buy one of these 3 batteries, in no particular order.

my advise is to read up on the rules for each class and pick which class you are wanting to run in for sure and build your car to suit that class.
as for gear it sounds like ya have it set there and got gear thats good enough for high numbers.
what i would do if i had those subs and amp build a SS1-2 NW or SM1-2 set-up.
but anyway good luck with it and look forward to seeing its numbers someday

just looking around those batteries are too big i think (the 800 ci rule). but i read on a forums in the US that the Kinetik HC2400 was small enough?. if this lets me compete in Street B then i will definately get it. Street B is what I'm aiming for.how long would that battery last? The reason for wanting to be in Street B is that i want to actually WIN comps. and obviously the lowest category i can get into the better. I would love to crack 150. I am currently talking with Hamish from Gold Coast Car Sound at bundal. He has been very helpful so i will go see them this afternoon and see wether he can help me out a bit.Is there any other rules that anyone thinks i might be up against with my install?

BTW: I have just finished installing some sound deadner. makes a hell of a difference. Did outter and inner shell of doors and rear quarter panels and rear pacel shelf. will this make a difference to my SPL? It has made my front pioneers sound 10x better. and the doors have a luxurious thud when i shut them now. i did that much for $60. I was thinking it would be worth spending $120 and getting another 2x boxes and doing the boot roof and floor. but will it make a difference?
Also, where can i get kinetik in AUS?
