Anyone had experience with AU utes?

I'm most interested in an XL V8 or the XLS 6/8 or XR6. Probably couldn't afford an XR8 or afford to insure it.

Are AU's good for stereo installs?
What about security?

Any idea on street prices for new used>?

When buying, what body/motor probs etc should you look out for?

good cars but ugly..

BUT, the series 3 XR's were very nice. the bodikit got ALOT bulkier and changed the look of the car for the better for sure. these are good for stereo installs aswell, my old cheese owns an XLS ute and no sh!t u could fit them pre-fab 12' sub boxes behind each seat.
PLENTY of room for boom boom.

I like the look of he AU utes as it no longer has the butt ugly **** end that the sedans have. IMO the front of the AU series II and III looks good, as do the XR versions. Yeah i knew a guy who had two tens behind the seats fit no worries, sounded goood too

hehe sweet, heaps of room for a system, thats what i wanted to hear!!!

what about the car itself?
