Candy maker Frank C. Mars of Minnesota introduced the Milky Way candy bar in 1923, the Snickers bar 1930, and the 5 cent Three Musketeers bar in 1937. The original 3 Musketeers contained 3 bars in one wrapper, each with different flavor.
Forrest Edword Mars
Son of Frank C. Mars, he helped him develop the Milky Way. He founded his own company in Europe and developed the Mars Bar, and also created M&Ms. He merged his company with his father's in 1964, creating the world's largest candy manufacturer.

Dang. Always thought that the Mars Bar came first and snickers was a recent thing. Can't stand Milky Ways though. Peanut M&M's rock!

Thanks for bringing the chocolate up....now I have a huge craving for a snickers or a picnic.
/me hasnt eaten any chocolate for 2 months

U missed the most interesting fact thou, that the line, A MArs a day, Helps u work rest n play(or however it went haha) was created by F1 commentator Murray Walker

Mars also now owns Masterfoods, Pedigree, Petcare, Whiskas, Schmackos, Golden Cob, Trill, Western Confectionary, just to name a few. And its still run as a family business.

True - mars is a huge buisness, and i would say deffinatly one that looks after its employees and customers.
I know deffinatly they look after me, providing me with lots and lots of work!, but also i have a van full of chilled chocies to eat.
