ok i just picked up the V3x

i went to get some more memory for it (512) and realised that no one stocks it in micro sd (transflash)

actually i was lucky to find anyone that had it in 256...wasted a whole day looking for it

also i hear that the motorolas can be modded...what the go with that i know the E1 ROKR has iTunes
just wondering what else there is

There is a program you can "hack" V3s with called P2K Tools.

There are about 4 programs you'll need to be able to gain full access to the motorola phones.

www.motomodders.net or something, search google for motomodders.

It can void your warranty, it didn't void mine but if they are picky it will.

Dick smith just started stocking 256 and 512 micro and mini SD.

how much did you pick up your phone for?

I picked up a 2 Gb minisd card from msy today for $81.

I'm using V3i, so far so good, I'm happy with it and will be more happy if anyone can explain to me whats with this extra mods?coz it sounds kool or its only for V3x?

Umm, upgrade firmware (will speed it up HEAPS), delete the crap off it. Free games.

Pretty much anything software related. Make flashy keys and random stuff like that, increase max video length.

i ended up getting a 512 card for $38 from strathfield

only downside is that the headphones arent that fantastic and i cant find any other ones that you can buy

im a bit worried that i will stuff something up if i start hacking away at the phone so ill leave it for now

Anyway, 512mb for $38 from a store is a decent buy. Warranty and all!

If you follow the instructions at motomodder even if you stuff it up you'll have backups. You are suppose to backup the original firmware, your address book and a load of other crap that you can load back on. I screwed up a few things on my old RAZR and had to load the backups lots of times so if you do start modding then dont ignore the warnings telling you to BACKUP.
