hey guys.. my mobile plan is about up and im gonna get a new phone... i like the look of the t610 has some nifty features.. but anyone got one tell me how they are,,, i heard they are abit slow.. i guess that really wouldnt bother me too much... but yeh any comments on them would be kool thanx

I've got one. Only problem I have is I turn my phone off over night, and when i turn it on and get a msg, sometimes it will hang for a bit, 20sec or so. That doesn't bother me at all. I find the display and camera to be better than the Nokia versions, but the polyphonics arn't as loud I don't think.
It has assending(sp) ring which you can't turn off, and can get annoying, as the fone starts off ringing like an old school fone, then the ringtone starts to play softly, and get to full volume. It takes about 5seconds for it to get to that stage. I've missed a few phone calls like that, from people that don't wait, so by the time you hear your phone is ringing, and get to it, its too late.
The screen for some reason gets marks on it when you use it, and its not just from my greasy head .
Covers are available on ebay, so you don't have to be stuck with a boring silver one. Just a few screws have to be undone to replace it.
Battery life is great. I don't have to charge mine that often. Maybe once a week, twice if I've used it a bit.
Make sure you don't get one thats been vodafone-ised. Get one that has genuin t610 firmware, and not modified by the telco's. Also try to get one with the latest firmware available. I got mine about 2 months ago, and my friend got one 3 days after mine, but his has the newer firmware.
I think its a great phone though, and I'm sure it will keep me happy for a while. It was the only phone on the market that really interested me, and the bigger screen makes quite a difference. It makes the phone look bigger, but when compared to something like the Nokia 7250, its the same size.

I have a T68i at the moment.. it suffers from the slow software at times thing... but i only turn my fone off maybe every month or so...

Screen gets really greasy and smeary really easy (i mean REALLY easy), awesome phone, not enough memory, but when is it? I've found it to be awesome phone the screen is great and clear, but hard to see in full sun, easy to use, if you have a nokia, it takes some getting used to, but is WORLDS ahead of the old ericsson! Give it thumbs up

i have a t610, to be honest its not a great phone if your after the nice color screen and camera. you'll be disappointed. esp. since its a 64k screen.
my previous phone which i gave to my gf, was a panasonic gd88, and if u want to compare screens with the gd88, the t610 doesnt even come close. in fact its just terrible its dull, dark and crap.
even the camera is a shocker. the photos are dark and blurry. no matter what kind of conditions you are in... if you want to see a pic, pm me your mobile number and ill send a mms to you... u should be able to view it on the net if your phone isnt compatible.
the phone is slow, it seems to me the new generation phones with cameras and such are a tad slow. the gd88 was also a bit slow. if your after speed and ease of use u can never go past the nokias.

the only reason why i have a t610 is because of bluetooth to connect it to my palm for net and email..... if you dont want bluetooth there are nicer phones out there. bluetooth on ericcson phones just rock.. no doubt about it.

ohh.. one more thing.... if u want to keep your phones screen nice and scratch free.. look into getting those pda screen protectors... they are wonderful things to keeping your screen nice and new.... peel off when it gets a bit ugly and cut a new square out and stick it on... i wonder if contact works also? i dunno.. i havent tried it.

Voda has set it up so that is SOOO much worse than the original.

I agree about the pda screen protectors too, thats what i do on my other phone (Nokia 7650)

I haven't noticed half of the things that muck has...
What software version you running? The panasonic's screen is better, it's 65k, but TFT I haven't noticed the pics are dark and blurry at all... Software is really no slower than my old 6100 nokia IMHO... hugely faster than older ericsson's tho

im pretty sure im running the lastest firmware on the sucker.. unless something has come out recently....

ahhh.. ok.. im just picky... i do however prefer the gd88.... shame it didnt have bluetooth......
i think theres some nice clam shell phones out there...... thats a lot better than the t610....

but it all comes down to what features you are after... and what u want to use the phone for really

the battery seems a little wimpy though....
my 5100's battery goes much longer than the t610.....

Does anyone know what sort of cheapest plans you can get this phone on? And how much to buy the phone outright (approx street price)?
