Hey i'm just about to start the install on a vz commodore with side airbags and was wondering if I sound deaden the doors on the inside and then cover the service holes and sound deaden over them that this will probably affect the airbags if their needed. Has anyone tried this and do you need to be careful when pulling the door trims off as to not set them off. Thanks

Do the side airbags come out of the door or the seat?
In my experience, a lot of the 'bags are deployed out of the seat, save for some Euro brands which deploy out of the B pillar or the upper edge of the door (I forget which ones).
Check out the owner's manual for the car. There is usually a reference to using special seat covers if you have side-deploying airbags, as the 'bags are in the seat.
Cheers - OT.

There in the seat in the WRX too..... No probs with sound deadening doors, just the big fat intrusion bars to deal with.
