Hi All,
I am looking at installing an amp into a MY98 WRX but cant seem to find an appropriate hole in the firewall to fit 4gauge cable. Has anyone done one of these before? If so which is the best grommet to go through???

Many Thanks,
Ruger3

was it on this forum, and somebody had an experience where they drillled throught the fire wall and sand came out of it??coz in this specific car, the firewall was filled with sand for rigidity and protection

I got a MY98 Rex. Ran my 4 guage through a unused gromet on the drivers side up above the pedals. There are gromets on the passenger side too (though they have stuff running through them), if I was doing it again I'd probably use one of them to shorten the cable length. The one I used is real easily visible from the engine bay if you imagine where the pedals are, look up and there's a flat rubber disc - put a hole in it (can pull it out no probs if that makes it easier) and all is sweet.

Thanks for all your help and assistance i have found a grommet on the passenger side i will go with as its closer to the battery and easier to concealthe wires during the install.

Thanks everyone who has provided some feedback its very much appreciated.

P.S i love the firewall sand story tongue.gif cracked me up.

Thanks again
