Well, i picked up my HU(Alpine 9827) cheap 2nd hand, for three reasons. One, was alpine. 2, was it was cheap. and 3, the AI-NET port, and its iPod connectivity.

Me, being the tight-bum i am, decided to go with the Navone Engineering adaptor, instead of forking out 200 odd odlalrs for the alpine one.

And, after recieving it, i was a little dissappointed that it only worked as an AUX input to the HU, but also charged the iPod.

Now, thats the only con.

However, i ahve read numerous reviews and posts about the alpine HU ipod interface being slow and clumsy, and once i get my ipod pod built, i will have easy access to my music via the click-wheel.

Price, is great. Exceptional value. This device has crystal clear sound, and it uses the direct AUX line out on the ipods dock conenctor.

It is a sleek, all black cable, with a plug that is easier to use than apple's standard dock conenctor.

Installation is a breeze. simply plug it into the AI-NET port, and splice the positive and ground wires into the wiring loom,a nd your all set. The power wire comes with an in-line blade fsue holder and 3amp fuse.

Overall, because of my dissappointment at not being able to use the HU ipod interface, i give this accessory 8.5/10.

If your looking for a simple way to conenct your ipod, while maintaining the ipod's ease of use, then this is it.
