How good is it? It's addictive. Still prefer Gran Turismo though.
DrEvil
I finished it in 2 days...

I prefer GT as there are more tuning options in it... This is still a sik game though

I am glad they have drift and drag modes which gives something a bit different
nemesis
hehe i bought this on friday night, havent bought a game since NFS Porsche challene its pretty kewl but i was expecting better graphics personally, but yeh kewl game im still going on it, drift track kicks ass
Axis
Better graphics? Are you running it on a decent machine? I personally can't run it AMAZINGLY well....but my flat mate can with all the reflections turned on and motion blur etc.... Its so good.... You need a pretty tough system to run it properly with everything bumped up... but it looks great

Anyways....tis a fun fun game
Oppressa
Yeah, there must be something wrong with your card if the graphics are only 'okay'.

I love it. Anthony, how many hours straight did you play it to finish it in 2 days?!
nemesis
hehe yeh trust me the machine is fine
and the game is running flat stick mode, with latest everything so its as its supposed to be. dont get me wrong, its pretty damn good, but personally i liked the 'look/feel' of porsche unleashed better than this (yeh i know its completely different game and different...well everything, but im sure you's get what i mean )
Oppressa
Hehe.
Reminds me of when I kept arguing with my friend about NFS Hot Pursuit (NFS 3).

I said NFS 1 looked better than NFS 3. Prob. 'cos they used photos rather than 3D graphics cards.
WRXCORE
Graphically its 10x better that porsche. The blur effects make it look like your driving on drugs hahaha

Pfft, y does everyone one compare Underground too Porsche, its a complete different type of game. This is soo much just arcade fun than serious racer. This game should of been called Fast N the Furious and they would of prob sold even more copies haha. The drift and drag modes are cool something different. But of the 50 or so races(of 111) it can get repeative at times. They class reversed track as a seperate track hahaha.

Havent seen any daytime action yet.

The upgrade feature suxs cause even if you have the money for a part u have to wait till you win x races to upgrade performance wise.

Lots of cars ppl are familiar with, lots of rice and the game encourages rice mods hahaha

Pity it doesnt have damage models(only a crack in windscreen when u total the car).

So far 7.5/10

Hahaha photo's they were VGA qraphics(256colour at that). U dont even need a 3d card to play the game, only 640x480 or 320x200 modes. The only photos they used were in the menu system. Even the video they used was piss poor compared to the codecs you get these days.

Your friend was right you are wrong

I got the game box here, im cringing at the graphics of back then hahaha.
Oppressa
LOL

I still prefer the look
WRXCORE
U prob still prefer an Atari 2600 as well
Oppressa
Phwoar! Hell yes!

The best were those old-school text based games:

"You walk into a log cabin. To your right, a fire smoulders in the fireplace. A large wooden table is covered with books on ancient history. Red Indian weapons adorn the wall. You see a light in the kitchen to the left and some stairs leading up"

Prolly 10-15hours all up

It was my days off hahaha

Just for the record, there are 112 races, not the 111 it says in the game

Also... don't expect some huge mega cool ending... it's pretty **** hahaha

customization options are pretty poor....

might as well just have "level 1 motor" "level 1 rice exterior" etc

nothing will beat street rod 1 / 2! (except maybe street rod 3)

haha this is where GT really shines over NSFU... NFSU u can't choose ride heights (other than different stages of spring packages) can't work out your gears... all the cars have the same max speed... etc etc etc

Definately. I think it's got a good fun factor but it's no simulator. I'm yet to play GT3 but were the physics improved over the first two by a bit?
WRXCORE
Ok only 30 races to go. haha.
