Mini Mobo Snd/Nic/Vid Great MP3 Project
I got two of these units 3 months ago, and built it into a Car MP3 player in my car. All car MP3 in Dash players can only hold how much will fit on a CD. I found this was not enough so I decided to go about building my own with a 40GB HDD, that equal to more than 60 CDs(it can hold nearly 30 days of music!!!) in one system, you can even install a 220GB HDD if you wanted.
The mobo is extremely small, its foot print will fit on top of a FDD drive (images below). My Car MP3 player has a 20x4 LCD screen interface to display music information. You can one of these for $45 at most Electronic distributers. Use a keypad to control the player. I use CAJUN for storing and organising music.
I plan to install a WiFi connection so I can upload/syncronise my music remotely, and install a colour touchscreen LCD screen to spice it up.You can find some of these in the Car-Audio section
All you need is 5Volts to run this mobo
Board has onboard everything - Sound/Video/Ietwork Card/etc
It also comes with this nicely aluminium machined case to suit.
sound very interesting but what about the quality? i ever heard some one build it, using normal comp component but it wasnt this small!!
