i got a 15" laptop currently running 1024x768 resolution.

when i try and run a bigger res .. it works except the GUI is "outside" the confines of the 15" screen i.e. the screeon only shows 1024x768 top left pixels of the whole desktop.

how do i make it 'squeeze' in farkin?
eMitch
Grrr I have the same problem on my 14.1" lappy! I'm running 1024x768 as well and when I bump it up it actually bumps it up but I can only see half screen...i have to scroll down/across to see the rest of the screen!

Does ANYONE have any hints for us!

Cheers...Mitch

cant do anything about it because that is the physical limit of the TFT Screen.

anyway 1024x768 is about right for a 15inch screen, any higher and its too small (having said that i run 1024x768 on my 12inch Vaio)

its a TFT... they dont like res changes very much (pretty much stick to the one res) hence most hardcore gamers use regular CRT screens...

Super is not a hardcore gamer thou hahaha

Its prob your crappy vid card that comes with the laptop. U should be able to do 1280x1024. Or maybe check your monitor drivers. When I use my montior drivers it limits me too 1024x768 but using default windows drivers I can get much higher res.
