cheers mad bison and very well set out too
was just gonna check on that before i went and made patch cables and drilled into the wall...quite well designed little stand that twists around to become a wall mountable speaker...who'd a thunk it
at the moment ive got:
.......................................center...
rear....front...front.........................rear
............sub......
going vertically as its set up on a desk

mines a cheaper one, i got it half price for $100, so its worth $200
i wasnt really in the market for one but id always sorta wanted one...at that price i couldnt pass it up
i was originally going to run it off my laptop but i dont have the sound car for it so i just run 2.1
model is X-530
for the price the sound quality is excellent, watching movies is great and i expect it to be better as im just about to mount the rear speakers where they should go

just put the speakers behind me and wow
makes a huge difference
remote would be good but it not a big deal...just means i have to get up off my ass every so often

The speakers shouldn't be behind your head but more to the side. Dolby and THX both recommend this setup:

However in the end. It's personal preference.

I think depends more on the speaker's and the listeners preference + room acoustics etc.
