Does anyone else think that Australia really won't be giving it 100% tonight to try win this game? Being only 2-3 weeks out from the World Cup?
I was all set to watch a good game tonight, but the more I think of it, I don't think the game will be that exciting...
I'd almost put my money on Greece winning this one.



Note - if you are going to whinge at how crap football(soccer) is bla bla bla, save it for another thread(because I think the same of the other football varieties). This is only regarding tonights game and the World Cup.

all through the media, the socceroos have been saying they're not going to treat it like a friendly (i.e. they're going to go full on).

be interesting to see how the game pans out.

i'd back a draw though (~ $3 i think), but be tempted to also lay some money on Greece given they've got nothing to lose (~ $2.85 i think)

I didn't expect an exciting game, but this game wasn't exciting for completely different reasons. Greece played poor for the first half.

Indeed socceroos won the game. I think they were capable to play better, oz will loose in the world cup if they'll play like in tonites game. Its just a starter may be..who knows

it was indeed a great warm up for the Aussies. u Beauty! the first half was really good (from an aussie perspective) as we played well- but greece were THAT bad. after half time we started making substitutions and the nit fell away. u were allowed 6 subs for tonights game and a few of the players that got a run most certainly will struggle to get a guernsy if all of the squad is fit. Bring on the cup!

Italy would be our best case senario! with there recent history in pressure games and a leaky back 4 if i had to choose someone for aus to play if they made it to second round italy would be top of the list. Czech Rep. (ranked 2) are far better than italy, and i'll back the USA (ranked 5, i think) to beat italy aswell

Playing the Dutch will probably give us a better indication of where we stand currently.

Should be a good match either way.
