As of 1st January 2004, you will receive a data bonus, which will be effective during January and February.
The size of your data bonus depends on your current plan. So, if you are on the:
Lite 550MB you will be entitled to 3GB of data per month
Standard 3GB you will be entitled to 6GB of data per month
Pro 6GB you will be entitled to 15GB of data per month
Ultimate 15GB you will be entitled to 20GB of data per month

So in summary for Jan. and Feb. we get heaps of extra data and then on march 1st the new plans will be released... /me crosses fingers for unlimited hehehe

Good because I just signed another 12 month contract with Optus a week before Telstra released their new plans.

Bonus's are for January and Febuary... Then the new plans come out on March 1st...
New plan details will be anounced mid Jan.

I used to have optus cable, but then we moved house and there is now optus where i live now, pain in the **** coz it was soo good

I think you'll find optus's "new" plans to be possibly just as good as telstra's Maybe a different capping instead of current 28K, maybe 128K or something like that

I liked it better when it let you go to 10 times the average useage.
first month they changed me over I reached 3 gig in 11 days. 28k put me off the net for the rest of the month coz its just too damn slow.

hrm.. i'm so tempted to go and check my email at work now (optus)... staff may already have been notified about this we were told about teh 10/30 mobile thing a bit in advance so i was *****ign before the rest of you.. haha...
this could also tie in with the release of another optus service they dont currently offer to residential customers that they are releasing soon, and i'm tipping it to be pretty similar to wha tit already is, just re worded...
i'm also willing to bet that if the cable does become uncapped again, it'll be on an expensive plan.. ie. it wont be the same price as the 3gb plan like it should be...

U mean ADSL? It is widely known that they are releasing ADSL next year

Basic - i knew about the new plans about 3mths before everyone else
Was in the training team had to sign a declaration and everything, lol....
But yeah, there are quite a few things going to come out
