Hi i want to ask if the bigger the sub the deeper and lounder the sound would be.
Even tho the 12" has the wattage as the 15".

Also the audiobarn subs, are they any good?
Bodyjar
You can't just tell how good a sub will go by looking at it. And also the bigger the sub is doesnt necessarily mean the deeper and louder it will go. Some cheap 15"s won't be as good as some decent 10" woofers...

Audiobahn are ok... nothing special, nothing horrible...

I don't have huge Audiobahn experience but the few i have installed haven't impressed me, what are you after.... low bass... loud bass.... sqbass.... what type of amp power do you have... what style of music are you listening to... whats your budget... all these will help select you the right woofer.

in theory, if all else is equal, the larger sub will play the lower notes louder. but there are many other factors too, including those already eluded to:
*cone excursion (xmax): which is why a high quality 10" can easily outdoof a 15"
*power handling
*subbox requirements
*car
*amp
*sensitivity (efficiency)

my impression of audiobahn is that they are more show than go.

Also, just a friendly tip.
When you have two questions that could be considered closely related, you might be better off (in terms of number of responses, etc) asking them in a single thread.

I'm referring to this thread.

And I moved it from the SQ section...

In future, please search before starting a new thread as I explained in PM smile.gif

It really depends on how much enclosure space you wish to use - a 15" will be louder than a 12", provided you can fit a much larger enclosure. (for a fixed amount of power)
A 15" won't necessarily play any deeper than a 10", it depends on the sub. Secondly, a 10" won't necessarily sound any 'tighter' or punchier or whatever than a 15" it depends on the enclosure and the subwoofer. Indeed, 15" subwoofers can often deliver good sound quality, provided the install has been tuned correctly (especially making sure the subbass does not overpower the midrange/midbass).

I have 2 audiobahn subs and im upgrading, they are definitely a doof bass without much sound quality, but they are bass tongue.gif
