unless he's thinking of the old swift.. the bright yellow/blue one with the yellow vinyl/mirrored sub box in the back.. i'm sure i have the mag review on that.. amongst my double collection of car audio mags.. lol

Oh that one.. nah Tony's taken it out a few times, its still sitting in his shed. Last time I saw it Tony said "I love this car, I just wash off the bird crap and stick some gear into it"

which is now turbo'd, with nos etc, crazy....

never seen that one before looks good but

I spoke with Tony Doran tonight and asked about it.. he still owns it, safely locked away, with the original gear. No turbo, no NOS. Might be coming back

well that is not what i was told when i spent 8 hours up there the other day!

he was telling us how is had this crazy engine in it and the only 2 times he took it out a) the first time he gave it a boot and the front bar ripped off and he ran over it, got that all fixed, then the 2nd time the rear wing came off as this thing has over 300kw at teh front wheels!

then it went for a dyno run and they f***ed it and spat part of the engine throught the bonnet and since then it has been locked away as you say

Saw this in the Car Stereo Australia mag.

Installation done by my mate Richard Difreidas at Doran, he is the head installer there.

The car done 152.9db from memory with two 15 inch GS subs powered by Orion HCCA huge amp.

Guys all i know about this car is that it wasn't a gti it was a standard 1300cc single overhead east west engine non-fuel injected running a standard 5 speed gearbox and build for looks and thats it, nothing else but hey what would i know

JUST TO MAKE A POINT HERE IS THE SPECS FROM THE MAGAZINE THEY MUST BE WRONG TOO BUT JUST FOR THE RECORD I WAS WRONG ABOUT THE SINGLE OVERHEAD CAM IT HAS A TWIN CAM MOTOR IN IT BUT HAY THERE IS NO PICS OF UNDER THE BONNET

i was talking to im the other day ok he only jsut done it all like a few months agp that mag is old old old it was never done back in the day when he was showing it

Sorry to bring up old news but i had a chat with Tony about this car and right now it is BONE STOCK. But both sides of your story's were correct when the car was originally released it was stock aside from the obvious install. When the car was featured in the magazine there was huge interest and everyone wanted to see the car so tony decided to re-release it with a highpowered engine (Nos, Turbo ect...) And not long after this was done he was driving down the highway when the front bar fell off and he ran over it and mulched it. He got it fixed and not long after he was driving the car down the street when the engine blew severely. He then decided to throw the complete stock setup back into and and there it has sat at the shop ever since
