http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=67880 Fun starts page 3.
Keep thread posts work safe, pm me anything that would be innappropiate to post on CAA.
And apologies for my last entry in the other thread. I'm so used to that frikkin image from a hundred photoshop forums that to me, its a cliche. Its nice to see the goatse hasnt lost its social shock power.
On a side note, its always interested me how people react to material outside their comfort zone. I just dont get shocked that easily. Apologies to all who had adverse reactions. ;P

amusing, but perhaps safer to ridicule the statements he makes rather than HIM as a person

Actually I had a read of the link that Marc posted and whilst he is obviously joking in the way he gets his message across, and a tad conservative in the way he speaks most of what he is saying there is true to my knowledge. I actually find audio itself and how it affects the mind/body quite interesting.
I didnt read through any of the links on that page yet so cant comment on them, but people that listen to music frequently gain an addiction to it. I know I need my fix every day.
Extreme SPL levels literally damage cells in your body (albeit at a microscopic level) this releases chemicals into the body to heal the damage providing a slight numbing/euphoric sensation.
It is the equivalent of going onto the battlefield with waves of bomb blasts hitting your body.
In terms of how bass affects behaviour, yes what he is saying is extreme, but not entirely innaccurate. And in response to the email he got he was comical, and not too extreme.
Im still gonna listen to my music as loud as i want though, but my cars quiet on the outside...
In the words of dynamat - More music, less noise!

Sterling hijack.
that said, I dont think you state his opinions are correct with any degree of confidence, honestly

So healing = numbness and euphoria? crap i wish. all those times after footy when my whole body was brusied...
Bass disorients, inner ear imbalances. pressure waves disorientates, and has physiological side effects, yes, but this "micro cell damage" causing numbness/euphoria....bollocks.
