Hi Guys,
I have been searching but i couldnt find any relevant posts

so here goes...
I was looking at MB Quart Q-line speakers i think they are called and they are MB Quarts best???? if so what are they like compared to focal K2p's?? i know the best thing is to audition them but i have to kinda wait till the car audio place installs a set in someones car to get an idea...
Any info is very much appreciated

Much colder sound than Focals... Very snappy midbass but they just arent detailed enough for my tastes

oh ok, what speakers would you go for then? as my taste in speakers could be defined as looking for clarity, detailed etc when turned up loud

find a store who has both on demo and have a listen...imho the Focal s probably have better definition but the Quarts are a very mellow easy to listen to speaker...check em both out neither will disapoint

Depends on personal budget, but if its detail you're after:-
Boston Acoustics - excellent resolution & dynamics, slightly forward presentation
Dynaudio - very natural airy quality with perfect integration, awesome all rounder
Alpine X type / DDLinear - poor mans Dynaudio, have many of their qualities, Dyns pip them for detail/sparkle factor
Focal - probably offer the highest detail of this list, warm sound - care needs to be taken with tweeter placement, I find them a bit dry but others love them
***please note***
My opinion and it could stink. Use it as a guide only but ultimately let your
EARS decide.
Hope I've helped

my house mate has a set of qsd-216 splits in her ss ute. they were very nice sounding.
She got it done at alberts in morley, so give them a call they may have some they could demo for you.

be weary bout the pdx amps....
as i know they are tiny, but keep in mind that they are a class D full range, from a golden eared purists point of view, reports indicate that the top end isnt great, and can come out very bright and brittle...
class D does best only upto 250-300 Hz IMO...
the alpine mrv f545 or 345 on the other hand are very good....

well done i love my k2p's!
full range class d... i dont like. the alpine's in mention are great go the bigger 545
they love the power! very punchy and play very low/have good controlled excursion.

Thanks guys, im thinkin of running 2 sets of k2ps in the front and one in the back so seeing there aresome mixed reports on the alpine full range class D amps would it be better to go with the f545s or is there any other amps around the 125x4 or 150 x4 that people would go for? would anyone use DD amps to power them?

With 2xsets in each door, why not combine both sets into a 2ohm load, and use a two channel?
