Full Version: roasted 800w mono block

Hey guys. I dont know how many people here are competent with electronics but I've got a response 800w mono here with 4 out of 24 voltage regs fried.
I took it to jaycar and the bloke there couldn't determine what rating the regulators had. If anyone can tell me from the information written on it you would be very helpful right now.
it says:
Fm F12
FQP
65NO6

and nothing about what sort of current and what voltage. If anyone knows a way for me to contact the manufacturer that would also be helpful. I presume there is no way to test the regulator with a mutli-meter or anything is there?

dunno, but maybe someone can close one of these threads...also, you might get better replies posting this in the general car audio section...as thats what it is...

they should have the lil cat number printed on the side of them when my lcd moniters power supply packed it in i just opened it up and saw the 5 busted regulators and read the lil number and found an apropriote replacement

it belongs to a mate and I dont know if he wants it cos i've had it for a few months. He lent it to another mate who f***ed it up and we don't know how.
