hey, im new to CAA this is my first post but i have been into car audio for a long time.

im looking at upgrading my subs to Boston Acoustics G5 104 / 44, and am un-decided on what amp to use.
i am looking for about 2 x 550wrms @ 4ohm, any help would be great

cheers
~Spyne~
are u going to be buying 1 or 2 of the g5 subs??
the ones u have mentioned are dvc 4+4, so if u buy one sub, u will want an amp that makes best power at 2ohms.
if u buy two subs, u will want an amp that makes best power at 1ohm.

clarify if u will be buying 1 or 2 of those subs, and then tell us ur budget for the amp and we can help

i will be buying two G5 10", i think i will go SVC tho as i am unsure of how running in 2 or 1 ohm will affect the sq ive read it makes an effect but i havent heard the differences.

i have been looking at buying two of sound streams picasso 1500D they make 800wrms @ 4ohms, i deffinately do not want to be under powering the subs

budget i dont know 1.5k? i dont mind spending money to achieve the results i want, but i dont want to spend money on fancy crap if u get me.
