Its coming to the time that i am going to need a boot install im my car.
its a 92 Swift GL
2x 12" Type R subs
2x Jaycar 800RMS mono block
and maybe some jaycar 'CAPS'
I some how need to work on an install that will let me fit all that in the boot which is quiet small. So if some of you would be kind enough to figure out some simple but cool designs it would be greatly apreciated.
I can get fibreglassing done free and have a friend that has done numurus boot installs so experiance is pretty good.
i know a little about it too.
Thanks

just thinking back to my barina days......
surely the 2 subs should fit in 2 custom enclosures on the L and R hand sides of the boot, with a false floor and amps underneath? the swift boot has so much vertical room its not funny, especially if the sub boxes are tall and thin if you get what I mean?
otherwise the amps could quite easily hide under the driver/passenger seats, there should be plently of room and no likelyhood of gettin it pinched.

i would put the amps under the seats....but i will have a 4x100 under the passanger one and io guess i could have one of the amp under my seat like i do now.
but if there is an install i could do incorpurating bothat that would be great.
im likeing the idea you have......that was the way i was thinking about going....who needs a spare wheel:)
Maybe someing to show the amps off aswell.....i really dont know

Could you post some photos of the boot from a couple of angles and then we could try and photochop some ideas onto it? I think the idea of a false floor for the amps is looking good, but would need to be well reinforced if you're going to be using the boot for, well, a boot. : )
that way you could keep the spare tyre. always important in a swift...

do u also want to take up the whole boot with this install or do u want some room for other things?
if not the i would suggest placing the subs facing each other but on at least a 45 degree angle upwards... would look awsome and in that car sound nice

yeh i recon 2 fiberglass enclosures on either side of hatch, sorta facing out but 2 each other, then in the middle, have the 2 jaycar amps sorta layering each other

Invert the subs in the corners, so that you can have a skinnyer box. Looks good to

just my 2c, but from having owned a barina (same thing) for about 4 years (previous to the Valiant...) I reckon that the amount of times I had crew in the back means it might be worth trying to design your sound system around the ability of the swift to cart absolutly everything and its mum. with a bit of thought I reckon you could pull it off pretty well too, you might just need some heavy duty perspex and good structural support for a false floor if you were going to put the amps on display. thoughts?

that sounds cool......but i dont want a back seat...i dont let ppl sit back there much cuz of the amps anyways....
i have figured out a pretty good desighn which will leave a little big of room behind the seat for my bag/stuff.
shall be good...i will try draw something up to show you what im doin.
