ok i got a set of pioneer TS-C160R splits and a pair of premoulded speaker pods, where would be the best placement for the tweeters be. on the pods with the splits or up on the pillars above the dash

Usual rule is to try and keep mids and tweets together. Give it a go, run some extra wire, and bluetac them in place. Try moving up and down, on top of dash etc.

If you like it, instal them there permanantly

Experiment, see what sounds good to you

I forget who (fess up) but someone on here said in the kick panels facing the oposite headrest sounded really good because the speakers were more equi-distant. this makes sense to me.
