What if you make NR $1 auction and it only ends up selling for $2 or something? If it looks like this is the way it is going to end up what is the quickest and easiest way to cancel bids and cancel the auction?
Does this incur cancellation fees?

well, to put it simply, dont make it a $1NR auction if you dont intend on selling the item for whatever it reaches.
Have a reserve, or raise the starting price.

You can cancel ur auction early under certain circumstances such as the item being stolen etc.
However only assholes cancel auctions early when they realise they aren't gonna get what they expected.
As Matt said, put a higher starting price or a reserve on.
Ahh and also, if you do cancel a few auctions early then i believe ebay does have the right to cancel your account.

Just remember people, with ebay, its a 2 way street. I trade a DAMN lot on there (ie at least 2 transactions a week).
Also, please leave feedback whenever you buy or sell. Its common courtesy.

I haven't got an auction going but am thinking about doing a $1NR auction to try and get more interest, but am aware that most of them end up selling for $2 or somehting
Never had to cancel bids or auctions before so don't think i intend on cancelling all future auctions if i don't get that extra dollar or two

There's quite a few people on eBay nowadays so unless your item is pretty obscure you'd get at least a decent price for it using $1NR. I've sold a few eBay things $1NR, most people bid in the last minute so you just have to watch the auction finish and keep the faith...

i ALWAYS start my auctions at $9.95, regardless of the item.
Ive sold $20 dvds and up to $120 mobile phones using the same starting price.
Just before you do it, do a search andn look at the history of the item. If there was 2 sold yesterday for A$100 and u u wanna start $1NR then you shouldnt have any troubles.

DO the history search like Matt suggested, and set the reserve to a few dollers below that. Make a note in the write up of the reserve and why you set it there.
