As topic states.... Has anyone done it? Had any luck/bad experiences etc?

With the p*ssweak US dollar at the moment there is some huge saving to be made.

Comments?

hello SNM

i purchased a digital camera from the US ebay and i had no problems with the seller, except it might take a few weeks to get the item that you want, also if you are buying something make sure the seller has alot of positive feedback

I havent bought anything myself, but my mate from work buys everything off US ebay.
He gets DVD's, statues, comic books, cd's...hasnt been stuffed over yet.

I've got a heap of DVD's through him...got them in about 2 weeks.

There was only 1 time he won something and the guy took his money, but he gave it back as he didn't want to send it to Australia.

I've bought a fair bit of stuff from the US. Its pretty safe if its a reputable seller with lots feedback. Most of them do it for a living so won't screw you over.

I reckon its best to get insurance if its worth over $50 though, Aust Post can sometimes lose packages and I've lost one parcel worth $160.

Thanks for that feedback ppl.

Actually found out today that a friend of mine has bought from the same guy so am 98% i'm gonna go ahead with the purchase.

Am planning on doing a wire transfer for the funds.
