I am after a good set of SQ orientated splits. They will be mounted in pods on the doors of my MightyBoy. I have listened to the Alpine Type X's and was more than impressed with the quality of these. What other models/makes should I check out before committing the the Type X's? My system is all Alpine but for the front stage i'm willing to check out other brands. Price range about $500-$600
Thanks heaps

Look at the rainbow range, especially the kicks...
Haven't heard them, but supposedly they are awesome speakers and great bang for buck.

do a search for brand names but diamond audio, dd, focal, boston, rainbow, DLS, hertz, morel are all very good brands...
take what you liked about the type x's and then see if any of these brands match up and or excel
