As a distinct possibility for me in the next couple of weeks I could be well and truly meeting the guys from METALLICA when they tour!!!

If you won the chance to meet your favourite band or celeb of all time, albeit for only 10mins or so, what would you take?

Should i take a disposable camera or risk it with the proper SLR? Perhaps a good quality and reliable disposable is a good option (if there is such a thing? haha)

What is the best stuff to take to get signed? Shirts fade and need to be washed (unless you frame them and wall hang them) but what about CD's etc?

I was thinking of doing some fan art and getting that signed, and that would be my personal claim to fame forever!

Any other ideas?

why not get all of their covers from their cd's and the cd's themselves and mount them all on a white backing board, and then get them to all sign around the covers/cds etc and write a message or whatever.

once they've done it, get it framed and you'll be able to keep it for life

Other than that I rekon a shirt and get that framed

oh, and take ur quality camera, u'll never forgive urself if u go dodgy and take a disposable and have it fecker up on u

I got my Megadeth concert ticket, bandana and flag signed by the band.

After the concert, I thought about how cool it would have been to have my Jackson Flying V signed by Dave

But if I meet them at a show then I don't want to waste the entire time cradling an expensive camera, its hard to know what to do.

And i don't think they'd be too impressed if i pulled out 15 cd covers for them to sign haha

One special item would be fine, that's all I'd want, and there's no way I'd ever flog it on ebay or anything like that so don't even mention it hehe

Burn all their albums in mp3 onto a CD and get them to sign that, title it "Irony"...

Anyway, get them to sign a cd, something like Puppets if you've got it, cause it's fairly shiny and stuff, then frame it... Or a tshirt...

But yeah, dont take the good camera, you'd get moshed to death - i'd say the best thing to do would be to have fun, and keep it safe - the best memory to take about is a good night.

sit them down and ask them seriously why they sold out in the 90's. then give lars a burnt copy of St Anger with Made August 2003 written on it

Yeh, I went to the Melb concert when they came down. Suprised u didn't go to a show from the world needs a hero tour.

oh well...i wish megadeth would come again....theres heaps of awesome metal bands i wish would come to Aust but theres fat chance in hell any of them will

Anthrax, I dunno if u play any instruments...but if u got a guitar, I'd get that signed by James and Kirk...or if u played drums, I'd get Lars to sign a cymbol. Now that I look back, I wish I got my guitar signed my Dave and Marty, although Al would have done.
