Hi,

I'm in the process of buiding some pods for my cielo, with the main intention of not cutting any door metal. The trouble is that the mounting depth of the 6" splits I'm using is about 65mm. Once the speakers are angled, the front edge sticks out about 90mm. To make the pods look half decent, I was toying with the building a map pocket into the pod, somewhat like a factory corolla door. Is it worth the extra effort of making up the pocket as well?

Just after a few opinions & to see if anyone has done the same.

BTW: The door trim on a cielo is completely flat & I should be able to vent into the door cavity.

Thanks in advance

Ben

It's presonal preference. I personally cam not a fan of door pockets and anything you put them tends to move around and make noise. I'm planning on removing my factory door pockets when I make pods for my mirage.

If you do go down the road of making door pockets, make them useable for a certain puposed. i.e maken them the perfect size for a certain number of CD cases or something like that. that way everything fits nicely and things don't move around.
