Hi,

I've just purchased some speakers and an amp to install in my 2006 Hilux, however when i pulled the door trims off today I found a stange looking Screw holding the speaker brackets in...

Please have a look at the attached photo (bit dodgy it was my mobile phone camera).

Any idea's what the tool is that I need?

Thanks... clapping.gif clapping.gif clapping.gif

looks like a pot rivit to me, stick your hand up behind it if you feel metal go find a small drill bit and drill it out.

pop rivet actually.....either that, or itll be a kind of clip, get a stanley knife, or allen key, or somethin that will fit in the hole, and see if it will pop off....

I cannot get behind it... I may be a type of pop rivet - but somehow stereo installation places must get these things out. I just need to know how.

I might try to fling it out with a knife or something...

It looks like something should go into the hole to unscrew it? But the hole doesn't appear threaded - but may be (it was getting dark). rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

If its a pop rivet, and made out of metal which they usually are, like Civic racer said, use a drill and drill the rivet out.

Cheers Joel
