i need some urgent help, i have a jvc kd dv5105 dvd player and a cheap ebay lcd screen, screen turns on, movie is playing but i dont get the picture from the movie on the screen, now the person i bought a dvd player from has given me no manual and i know that theres a thick green wire off the head unit that needs to go to something i just dont know what? any advice while my dash is still in bits would be good,
thanks lads
bob
That wire needs to go to your handbrake wire. When it is connected to ground(ie handbrake is up), the picture will display.
If the screen is not visible to the driver, connect this wire directly to ground.

Will you get defected if a cop pulls you over and the screen is on, in full view of the driver?

If it has anything on it other than a "Driving Aid" then yes, it is defectable.
FYI: Movies and TV are NOT 'Driving Aids'
