hey caa

ive had the SS induction kit + a Whiteline front strut brace for about 2-3weeks forgot to post here.

the SS Induction kit set me back $289 which I got from Autobarn Mile End South, with induction + pipe that leads to air box, I allready had the K&N panel filter so i got the full 8-10rwkw gain from, so if your cruzing along @ 40kph, and then plant it it really has a huge kick and your @ 80kph before you can blink, and it makes a killer sucking sound (sounds really angry)

The Whiteline Strut Brace was $175 from Emtech Automotoive. This was scarey how much the difference was, the ride was alot more tighter, and around corners it wasnt as "loose" and when corning quicker it really seems like it sticking to the road.
p.s also again i dont not encourage high speed/dangerous driving you may do it at your own risk smile.gif

so those mods where quite cheap, very easy to fit and took 35mins to fit both of them, and they made a Huge difference to what was a sluggish whale, and it also does a really nice job of dressing up my engine bay, it looks like something now lol

pics will be up hopefully tommorrow avro.

cheers,
Benj

Looks good, I was looking at a SS induction kit for my VS wagon, me likes.

I noticed your red 8awg cable, appears to have no fuse?? I hope for safety sake it does.
Benjy
yer in my mind the kit is really awesome,1st night i got it on i went for a high cruzie smile.gif and had a drag against a like 90s 7series bmw, it had xhuast and dunno what else on free way and thumped !!! i thought it would of beaten me, oh well it shockd him lol

yes it does have a fuse didnt zoom on that pic lol lol

there going to be a bit load more wiring when george gets his hands on it lol

thought i might just add to this, me and a mate fitted a cold air intake to his VR commodore the other week, but we went to holden and got the factory CAI from a supercharged VS. looks almost the same as yours, except it cost like $50,and that includes the intake and pipe that goes down to the airbox, not including the bottom half of the airbox tho. Since he didnt get the bottom part of the airbox we did need to cut the intake whole out a bit so that the CAI would clip into it, but thats not too hard with a hack saw and a sharp knife.

i havent driven it, but he reckons its got a bit more power, but also better fuel economy.
Benjy
the fuel economy is a little bit up; maybe 15-20km roughly but not much
nuts
i've got a vy v6 ute and yeah i've got the ss inductions cold air and yeah it makes a fair bit of difference and i know what u mean about the whiteline strut brace, the utes lowered and that cuts out alot of bodyroll but since adding the strut brace it has reduced that even more and also around certain corners at a decent speed it sticks to the road like sh!t on a blanket!!
Benjy
finally someone that has the whiteline strut brace lol

yer the amount of bodyroll it cuts out is huge, and for the price it is a nice little dress up part for your engine bay

Great idea. So he just went into the Holden dealership and said he was the factory cold air intake?? So it fit easy??
