G'day, about to make another mammoth compilation of cd's for dj'ing (all legitimate album/single/itunes format shifts).
I'm organising all the tracks by alphabetical order.
Each cd will be its own folder, with a nero burning file for that cd in the folder, dig?
Does anyone know of a utility/program that can look at a batch of mp3's, and guess the size of them in wav format, quickly and effeciently?
Something *exactly* Like the bar at the bottom of a nero compilation...but quicker, and not neccesarily graphical. Nero has to analyse each file and does it very, very slowly.
At the moment i have to
-Make an new nero compilation
-Load up 10-15 files in nero
-Check progress bar (aka wait a minute)
-adjust number of files to suit
-move files into seperate folder
-new nero compilation again (old pathnames changed)
-Save nero image file in the folder
A simple utility could save me a LOT of time.

Go Traktor 3 with Final Scratch 2

Got Traktor here, just cant afford the hardware. But as for burning the mp3's off... not sure i can help you with that. I only know of programs that archive files/ folders not convert them to music.

I pine for that gear, i really, really, do.
That, or cdj-800mk2's with mp3...but i prefer that vinyl-style deck. hugely.
Damn. anyway, thanks. I'm just going to have to put up with nero in express mode by the looks.

I think the real question you should be asking is why does Nero take so long???
Mine takes 5 seconds max, for a full CD load of songs......??

ahh but he is loading his collection in, not just an album. so i'm guessing a 100-150 cd's worth of music. nd putting the files in manually = PITA
