hi,

I took out the standard headunit and found all the wiring have different colours with the alpine wiring
How do I connect them?
and there is a yellow wire from the alpine which marked: High Current Draw. connect directly to fuse or battery, do not connect behind the dashboard. The wire is very short, how do you connect it to the battery?

the headunit is alpine 9815

quick help please

Please read the manual book CLICK HERE before u go ahead

If you don't know anything about installing H/U i suggest you shouldn't do it, get audio shop to do it.

Yellow cable as u mention is call MEMORY (correct me if called something else). Yes it connect straight to battery and it has to has a fuse 20A inline. Honda civic h/u should have that cable too (so u dont need to run that cable to the battery).

Sound like u bought the headunit secondhand? coz there no fuse

Hope this help
Cheers

Also, if you havent already dont chop of the factory wireing plug. You can buy an adaptor that will go directly from your HU and plug into the factory plug. That way you dont have to worry about the wiering colours.

this is exactly what I need. Where can I buy this in melb?
I rang up a couple car audio places and they don't have them
Audio Express
or grab this:

and play connect the dots. if you have a blue plug off the car though then this WILL NOT work.
