Hey evry1, just got a new pioneer deh-p5750mp.

Put the deck in my car after checking all connections with multi meter and they are all perfect. Turned on the radio and it worked fine.... After that I turned the car off and put all my gear away, then come back to turn it on, and it flashed on and then cut back off again. Evry time I push the SRC (On) button, it flashes on and then quickly cuts out. Ive taken it out and checked all connections to ensure they are all ok, but still nothing? The deck is still fine as it works perfectly in my mates car. His deck does the same thing in my car. Any ideas?? please help.
thanx in advance

Check your grounding & the car's fuse box also.

maybe you have a dodgy fuse supplying the unit - all seems well, until you try to pull current from the wiring, then it dies.

if possible, monitor the voltage supply to the deck while you switch it on.

also check the earth (black wire) of the deck is properly connected to metal parts behind the dash/under the console as this is also a source of troublems.

The reason why Pioneer decks flash off and on, is a) due to bad earth b) not enough power delivery.

If you have connected onto old aftermarket wiring go back and check there isnt a small 1 or 2 amp fuse inline suffocating the power line to the deck.

If this is clean then look at the earth, drill into a metal part of the dash behind he unit.

hey got the problem fixed!! It ended up being an inconsistent supply from the 12v. Battery was fine just the wire from the battery was going down to 8v when I would switch on acc. didnt have the patience to find the problem, so I just run a wire straight from the battery to the radio with a fuse of course!!!

thanx so much for your help!!!!!
