my mate wants a cd player put in his vt, it has the standard tape deck my question is do the eurovox cd players just plug in or do you have to re-wire it?(i have searched but didnt find anything)also how hard are the units to get out i havent even looked at it as yet. if he doesnt end up getting a standard cd player does anyone have a wiring diagram for the vt HU wiring... cheers brad

all the vt vx factory h/u swap straight over.
except the meastro series... they have 2 extra looms for the amps and rear subs.

any factory vt/vx cd player will go straight in.

to get the head unit out get a coat hanger and cut four peices roughly 15-20cm long,
then stick them in the four holes in the h/u
you'll hear a click then pull out... simple.

hope that helps mate.

yep exactly...

only the upgraded meastro series is different.
and that only came in calais/senator/statesman if i remember correctly.

if your trying to track down commodore specific information i suggest checking out streetcommodores.com.au and ls1.com.au
both sites have a wealth of information on holden/commodores.
