g'day, looking for a simple program that will let me synch folders across a network.
Going to be used for music (dj business) and document backup.
Just something that will compare changes and sync accordingly.
I've got a copy of ghost, but thats a bloated-bum program that wants to use background processes all the time.

This should do it.

Mirrorfolder is another one that will do exactly what you want, and is small. But its not free.

edit : except, that site demands you install their spyware to get any files.

I've been using this at work:

Nice interface, lots of options, very reliable, but a little power hungry depending on your chosen options.
Doesn't worry me though, i've scheduled it to run during the night.

Check out Lazy Mirror and Ice Mirror as well.

Download the Windows Server Resource kit for free and use a tool it contains called robocopy.exe. Run from the command line, read the /? help in detail and it will mirror a source and destination for you. Then set it up in a batch file and run as a scdeduled task.

I use Microsoft's SyncToy .... nice and simple, easy to configure and does the job.
